Before you leave...
Effective January 7, 2007 the new passport requirements for U.S. citizens traveling outside the country via air carrier must have a valid U.S. passport. U.S. Birth Certificates will no longer be accepted as a travel document.

U.S. citizens traveling via cruise ship from U.S. ports are not affected by this change until January 1, 2008. However, due to the backlog in processing passport requests in 2007, it is strongly suggested that if you have future plans to cruise or fly outside the country, do it now!

All citizens are reminded that they must have a minimum of six months remaining on their passport beyond the departure date from some foreign countries. Failure to check prior to leaving home on the validity of ones passport could result in being denied admission at your destination. Consult U.S. State Department on-line for details.

At etherson Travel Destinations we are asking all clients to bring their passports for inspection when picking up their travel documents. Copies will be retained in our files.
